S.A.S Donates Hygiene Packets to Cambodia
Examples of Compassion and Responsibility

The hygiene packets consist of toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap bars, face towels and combs. S.A.S donates these packets because they care about Cambodia. They also knew that Cambodians had no money so they couldn’t buy proper hygiene tools. By sending them the packets, they can teach them on hygiene and cleanliness. Also, if they have better hygiene, they have better health. By donating these hygiene packets, S.A.S is showing compassion to the Cambodians. It also teaches Cambodians to be responsible for themselves!

In Taiwan, I saw a blind person that needed to go to the train station while we were in a rush to go back to our hotel. I wanted to go straight to the blind person and bring him to the train station but I couldn't because I was in a rush. Luckily, when I turned back, I saw to adults bringing him to the train station. This shows that the two adults were using compassion and respect to the blind man.
Another time in church, kids and parents (including me) took care of lots of old people that visited our church. Even though it wasn't so fun, I still had a good time and learned how to take of old people. Taxi Drivers And Guards Do Help A Lot In Our Community!

This is showing compassion!
I was getting back from the
airport and I noticed that we had a LOT of bags so instead of the taxi driver
sitting down listening to music while my family was putting the bags in the
back, the taxi driver got out of the car and helped us put our bags into the car!
Then when we got back home we still had to unload. Even though the taxi driver
did not get out this time, the guards helped us put the bags in the elevator. What
would we do without the guards? The taxi driver and the guards where both
showing compassion!

This is the story of an elderly uncle who lives alone in a terraced house surrounded by neighbors. He is 91 and not as mobile as he once was having arthritis in both knees. Long distances, that’s anything over about twenty yards, are out for him. So what, you may ask, has that to do with the neighbours? Well, one couple who lives a few doors away do his shopping for him, carrying the heavy stuff he can’t cope with. They do it gladly and always spend some time with him when they deliver the shopping. Now this neighbour is not a young man, and his wife suffers with osteoporosis but they are there for the uncle. A guy living opposite takes him to church every Sunday and spends time with him putting the world to rights sitting in front of the fire. Another family who have two very young children have adopted him as a granddad and regularly transport him to their home to chat. Each of these families have a key to his house and are on call twenty four seven being a contact should ever anything happen. He lives about forty miles from his family and family goes over at least once a week, helping out and talking about the good old days. I felt that this is a show of compassion because they all help him out because they feel bad for him.

The kids in Mrs.Gaskell's class that help out show compassion and respect.For an example, flipping the clips,handing out homework, helping with math or anything like that.It shows compassion because they are caring about other people and helping them. It shows respect because they are respecting them for what they are doing and helping them without like saying anything rude.

My responsibility story has
to do on an article I read about a boy with severe asthma. He was at the age of
nine. People with severe asthma have to take this puffer with steroid
treatment, which they have to do twice a day with 2 puffs. The boy did not like
doing this treatment so he can fit in with everyone else. But his mom kept on
telling him to do it. (It was very bad of him to do this because when you have
asthma its like, well when you don’t have the treatment with severe asthma, its
like your lungs get all cobwebbed that you don’t breath in as much air which
causes an asthma attack.) But the boy loved to do sports so when it was his
football game at the end he rang out of breath and did his blue puffer (which
is for asthma attacks) but since he didn’t take his treatment (orange puffer)
he ended up passing out and going into an emergency room. The sad ending is
that he died.
This has to do with responsibility
because he did not take his treatment (orange puffer) to get rid of the
cobwebby stuff in his lungs.
Responsibility and Compassion

Responsibility is doing what you need to get done. There are a lot of examples but I will only share a few of them. Compassion is kind and helping others.
For example: Everyday I come home. I do my homework,then I practice my cello,take my bath and then I usually set the table and sometimes help with dinner. That shows help for me and my family and it shows responsibility. This is compassion because I am helping me and my family with chores.
Another example is: Everyday zoo keepers feed the animals,Clean the cages, take care of the animals very well and make sure they are safe not like the life they had before. That shows a lot about responsibility because they care about the animals a lot. This shows Compassion that they are helping animals survive.
Finally: teachers have a big responsibility to help children learn. Always never leave their students hanging with questions, help them to find the answer that they are looking for and Trying to make them feel welcome and comfortable in the classroom. This shows responsibility and compassion because they are helping you to live a very good life with knowledge and that is what teachers are suppose to do.
This is why responsibility and compassion are so important to your life.
