Confidence is not about being always right, but always knowing what to do when things go wrong. ~Author Unknown
What does this mean to you? How does it apply to our classroom?

  1. I think this means when you are in a time when it's difficult, you have confidence, and when you are in a time when it isn't difficult you are not worried so you don't have as much confidence!

  2. I think it means that you don't always have to be right but, you have to understand. It is not about being right it is about understanding.
I think it applies to our classroom because it means in class at math for strategies confidence is not getting it right (a math stradigie) it is understanding where you got it wrong.

  3. That is very true. In times and places I've had to improvise, and it's gotten tricky. But if you understand the problem or situation, then you'll be fine.If you're right about something, good job! but if you understand it... great job.

  4. This apples in Math. When we make mistakes we learn from them. When you make mistakes it is important to know where you went wrong not to get it right every time. Don't get me wrong you want to be right, but you learn more from your mistakes then anything else.
To me this means it is not important to get everything right all the time. It is important to know what to do, what went wrong, and where you went wrong. it is also important to know what should be done differently and how it should be done. I think this is important because knowing these thing helps you learn from your mistakes.

  5. I agree. Even though you don't know the answer to the question, it doesn't matter. What matter is that you know the concept of how to solve the problem.

  6. I think this means that you should always have a back up plan in life in case some thing goes wrong, and you NEVER know when some thing will go wrong.

  7. I agree with this quote because you never know when something might go wrong and you should always be confident when you know what to do

  8. I think this saying is very true. When times are hard you must have confidence. In problems, it doesn't matter if your answer is right or wrong, it only matters that you understand it, and know the concept.

  10. I really do agree with this saying. i agree with this because you never always be right and it doesn't really matter what matters is being confident when things are going wrong. A connection I have with this quote is in the book I read the Big Wave. What happened was that the big wave was rising and they the family's were confident to stay no matter what happens.

  11. I think this saying is very very true. Because EVERYONE makes mistakes look " Confidence is not about being ALWAYS right''like in Mr. Kimzey's lab we have to know what to do, if we make a mistake we learn from it and we have to say thank you for teaching us something to the person who made a mistake.
